The origins of the Gimlet date back to the late 1800s and the British Royal Navy. In effort to fight off scurvy, sailors reportedly mixed lime juice with gin or rum and sugar. What started out as a seafaring medicinal tonic eventually evolved to what we know as the Gimlet.
The Lemongrass Vodka Gimlet is a twist on the classic: substituting Vodka for Gin and the adding a hint Lemongrass makes this a delicious, refreshing cocktail.
